How to Update a Package Component Label in Salesforce?
1. Ask – Update a Package Component Label in a Salesforce Org
Do you want to update a Managed Package component (Buttons, Custom Fields, Record Types, Validation Error Messages ) label in a Salesforce Org and not able to do so because the component label is read only? Follow this article for a workaround to update the labels.
2. Solution – Translation Workbench Override
Translation Workbench is used to maintain translated values for metadata and data labels in your Salesforce org. You can use Translation Workbench to override the labels for supported components. You can find the detailed steps below:
Step 1. Navigate to Setup -> User Interface -> Translation Workbench -> Override.
Step 2. Select the Package, Language, Setup Component and Object.
